Attorneys Competency Based, Conveyancing and Notarial Practice exams postponed to November 2020

The Legal Practice Council would like to inform candidates that due to the current national lockdown and the risks posed by COVID-19 the August 2020 Attorneys Competency Based, Conveyancing and Notarial Practice exams have been conditionally postponed to November 2020. The LPC is exploring several possibilities on how the exams will be written without putting any candidates at risk of being exposed to COVID-19.

The Council will be guided by further announcements from the President in relation to the Alert Levels of lockdown. This will inform the

logistics of registration and the actual dates for the examinations.

At this stage, it is not yet clear if there will be availability of venues which will permit appropriate social distancing between candidates..
