LPC to change its operational hours for Risk Adjusted Alert Level 3

The Legal Practice Council (LPC) would like to inform all legal practitioners that it will be adjusting its operating hours in its offices to 09:00 to 15:00 as part of its measures to adhere to the Risk Adjusted Alert Level 3.

The change is with effect from 13 January 2021 until further notice.

The LPC will be offering all its full services, however, to ensure adherence to the Regulations and to minimize the risk of person-to-person spread of the COVID-19 virus in its offices, staff members will be rotated to allow for adequate spacing and to ensure social distancing.

All visitors must, as required by the Regulations, wear appropriate masks when visiting the LPC offices. All staff members and all visitors will be subject to daily screening, which includes temperature monitoring. Hand sanitizers will be available at all our receptions, and signage to ensure adherence to social distancing requirements will be visible. All consultations with relevant Officials will be by prior appointment ONLY. Practitioners and members of the public are encouraged to make use of the Council’s website for services that can be done online or via email.

The LPC is following all the relevant guidelines that have been set out by the Department of Health, the National Institute of Communicable Diseases and the World Health Organisation.

The LPC urges all practitioners to ensure that they adopt all regulations and other safe practices in their personal lives and in their offices and wishes everyone well in these difficult times.
