LPC saddened by the passing of two prominent legal practitioners

The Legal Practice Council expresses sadness following the passing of Ms Dolly Mokgatle and Mr Mike Smith.

Ms Mokgatle, an advocate, was a former member and Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Legal Education Centre and served as a Member of the University of South Africa (UNISA) Council.

Mr Smith was a long-practising and well-respected attorney and a partner at the Eastern Cape firm, Smith, Tabata.

The death of these practitioners has left a big void in the legal profession, and the Council sends its heartfelt condolences to their family, friends, and colleagues.
