Dates for the Attorneys, Conveyancing and Notarial Practice oral examinations confirmed

The Legal Practice Council would like to inform all candidates that due to the lockdown regulations the Attorneys, Conveyancing and Notarial Practice oral examinations will take place on the dates listed below.
The oral examinations will be conducted using both physical and virtual platforms.

Northern Cape, Free State is conducting their oral examinations in the following dates.

Attorneys’ Admission, Conveyancing, Notarial and Conveyancing Oral Examinations

• Oral Examinations: 3 – 17 June 2020

(Candidates who experience difficulties with the ZOOM portal will be rescheduled by the relevant Provincial offices for a face to face oral in the week of 17 June 2020)

The physical and virtual oral exam schedules and exam logistics for the Free State and Northern Cape were communicated to the candidates in those Provinces on 29 May 2020.

The COVID-19 screening of candidates who will attend exams at the LPC offices will be done in accordance with the current regulations.

Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, North West, Limpopo and Mpumalanga will conduct their oral examinations in the following dates.
• Attorneys Admission Examination: 8 – 19 June 2020
• Conveyancing examination: 22 June 2020
• Notarial practice examination: 23 June 2020

(Candidates who experience difficulties with the ZOOM portal will be rescheduled by the relevant Provincial Offices for a face to face oral in the week of 22 June 2020)

The venues for physical oral examinations will be confirmed by the Provincial Offices herein.

For those candidates who indicated the virtual oral examination as their preference, the zoom meeting details will be communicated by the Provincial offices.

The oral schedules will be available on the LPC website.

The COVID-19 screening of candidates who will attend at the LPC’s offices will be done in accordance with the current regulations.
